Tangelia (Tan-ge-la) Terrell is a wife and mother of three children ages 13, 18, and 21. She works with and speaks for women’s ministries across the United States. She is an experienced, certified trainer in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid. Mrs. Terrell has trained hundreds of individuals in the needed skills of assisting people who are developing mental health problems or experiencing mental health crises. She also helps her trainees to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. She is a skilled mental health advocate who has crisscrossed the nation speaking in support of mental health care and to help people to realize the affect of stigma within our communities. Mrs. Terrell received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from one of the greatest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the nation, Alabama State University. She earned her Master’s from the University of Phoenix in Educational Leadership, specializing in Adult Education, and her Education Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University. Mrs. Terrell has been teaching for 23 years and she is a mentor to both teachers and young ladies. “She’s Dead” is her first book.
